SC Tuition English Skills Programme
Practical, structured courses designed to help students master the key skills needed for success in GCSE English.

The SC Tuition English Skills Programme is designed for students who want to strengthen their skills in GCSE English Language and Literature. It is particularly helpful for students who need to build confidence in analysis, improve their writing and develop the techniques required for GCSE success.

Courses may be suitable for students preparing for GCSE exams as well as those who would benefit from structured English learning.

The programme can also support home-educated students who would benefit from structured English teaching and guidance with GCSE preparation.

 

Structured courses designed to help students build confidence, strengthen analysis and succeed in GCSE English.

The SC Tuition English Skills Programme offers structured 8-week courses designed to develop the key skills required for success in GCSE English Language and Literature. Each course focuses on a specific area of English and combines self-study materials with optional tutor support, including personalised marking and video feedback.

Students can take individual courses or complete several modules to build their skills progressively.

KS3 English Skills Group. (max 4 students)

(Part of the SC Tuition English Skills Programme)

  • 1 hour small group tutorial focused on reading, writing and analytical skills.

  • Structured weekly homework to reinforce learning between sessions.

  • Video or written feedback on student work to support improvement.

  • Guidance on vocabulary, sentence structure and written expression.

  • Preparation for the demands of GCSE English.
